One light layer. One warm layer. Every night covered.

Four organic cotton sleep layers — a 0.2 TOG and a 1.0 TOG romper, plus matching 0.2 and 1.0 TOG swaddle sleep sacks — so whatever tonight's room temperature (or the washing pile) throws at you, one combination is just right.

What's in the bundle

  • 0.2 TOG Long Sleeve Romper — organic cotton jersey (0–3 months)
  • 1.0 TOG Long Sleeve Romper — organic cotton jersey (0–3 months)
  • 0.2 TOG Swaddle Sleep Sack — organic cotton jersey (0–3 months)
  • 1.0 TOG Swaddle Sleep Sack — organic cotton jersey (0–3 months)

Why two TOG ratings?

Because the nursery isn't the same temperature every night — and TOG warmth adds up when you layer. With one light and one warm version of each piece, the combinations cover the range most Australian nurseries sit in:

  • Warm rooms (23–25°C): 0.2 TOG romper under the 0.2 TOG swaddle
  • Mild rooms (21–23°C): 0.2 TOG romper under the 1.0 TOG swaddle
  • Cooler rooms (19–21°C): 1.0 TOG romper under the 1.0 TOG swaddle

It's the same maths as our TOG chart — and if you'd rather not think about it at 7pm, the Goldilocks thermometer reads your room, predicts tonight's low, and shows the combination on screen.

Safe sleep first

Red Nose Australia warns that overheating is the bigger risk — don't stack extra layers "just in case." Check baby's chest or back of neck (comfortably warm is right; cool hands are normal), and skip loose blankets entirely — the swaddle replaces them.

FAQ

What TOG is best for a newborn?

There's no single best — it depends on the room, which is exactly why this bundle includes both. As a rule of thumb: reach for 0.2 TOG pieces in rooms 23°C and above, 1.0 TOG below that, and layer them per the TOG chart.

What size are the pieces?

All four are newborn sizing, 0–3 months (000) — the stage where getting sleep layers right matters most and the guesswork feels highest.

Do TOG ratings add up when layered?

Roughly, yes — the 0.2 TOG romper under the 1.0 TOG swaddle lands warmer than either alone. That's how four pieces cover a whole range of rooms.

What about really cold rooms?

Below about 19°C, keep the romper as the base layer and step up to a 2.5 or 3.5 TOG sleeping bag over the top — our winter dressing guide breaks it down room by room.

Note: dressing guidance is a guide only. Please consider other factors such as illness, heating/cooling and whether your baby tends to run warm or cold.
